About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO 21) is conducting market research to identify vendors capable of providing headhunting services for clinical staffing at the VA Northern California Health Care System, with capability statement responses due by 10:00 A.M. PST on July 16, 2026. This is a sources sought announcement only; no solicitation is currently available, and the Government will not pay for information submitted in response. An amendment issued July 14, 2026 corrected the NAICS code to 561312 (Executive Search Services) and PSC to R431 (Support-Professional: Human Resources), with all other terms and conditions remaining unchanged from the original notice.
VANCHCS requires candidates for three nonsupervisory clinical positions at Sacramento VAMC (Mather): two Gastroenterologists and one Cardiologist. The contractor's role is limited to identifying and recruiting suitable candidates, with payment contingent upon successful hire only. Gastroenterologists must be board-certified with 4 or more years of experience in inpatient or outpatient settings and capable of performing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. Cardiologists must be board-prepared or board-certified with 4 or more years of experience and proficient in interpreting ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and Holter monitors. The period of performance runs September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2027. The small business size standard is $16 million. Interested vendors must submit capability statements and answer specified questions via email to Lydia.anderson@va.gov by the July 16 deadline.
