About this opportunity

The National Institutes of Health, Office of Logistics and Acquisition Operations, seeks purchase of equipment for constructing a Portable Multiphoton Microscope system for detection of biosensors in living animals, with responses due June 18, 2026, at 9:00 AM Eastern time. This is a non-competitive, sole-source procurement under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures, with an estimated value not exceeding $350,000.

The procurement is a Total Small Business set-aside. Place of performance is Brookline, Massachusetts (delivery to 5625 Fishers Lane). The specific equipment required includes one Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting module SPC-130NIXX, one Hybrid photon detector HPM-100-40 with control module DCC-100, one Picosecond Laser BDS-SM-980-FBE with single-mode fiber optic bundle, one Beamsplitter unit with accessories, and one GVD-120PCIE module for laser scanning. All equipment is manufactured by Becker and Hickl GmbH in Germany and is distributed exclusively in the United States by Boston Electronics, justifying the sole-source approach. NAICS code is 423690 (Other Electronic Parts and Equipment Merchant Wholesalers); PSC code is 6640 (Laboratory Equipment and Supplies).
