About this opportunity
The National Park Service Southeast Region is seeking to procure seven customizable shower towers for the Opal Beach and Okaloosa Island comfort stations. The procurement aims to replace existing non-compliant facilities with new ADA-accessible shower towers featuring corrosion-resistant sandstone-colored exteriors and improved user configurations. The solicitation (No. 140P5225Q0015) will evaluate quotes based on three primary factors: technical capability, past performance, and price, with technical and past performance being approximately equal to price considerations. Quoters must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) as a small business under NAICS code 326191. The deadline for quote submission is April 30, 2025, at 5:00 PM CDT, with a required delivery date of July 2, 2025.
The contract is designated as a total small business set-aside with a small business size standard of $750,000 for the Plastics Plumbing Fixture Manufacturing category. The shower towers will be delivered to Gulf Islands National Seashore, located at 1802 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze, Florida 32563. The project will be a firm-fixed price purchase order with a 60-day performance period, focusing on replacing existing facilities with new towers that include two handicap-accessible showers with metered valves, two foot sprays, and push-bar controls. The new installations will feature 304 stainless steel construction with a chrome matte oven-baked powder coating and are designed to withstand the coastal environment. Key project personnel include Heath Landrum (Maintenance Supervisor) and John Kowlok (Facility Manager), who will oversee storage, installation, and site preparation with minimal visitor disruption.
