About this opportunity
The Pacific Air Forces, a component of the Department of the Air Force, is seeking to procure four multidirectional side loading forklifts for delivery to U.S. military ammunition depots and stations in Japan. The procurement specifically calls for Hubtex MaxX45-2425 electric battery-driven forklifts with 9,900-pound load capacity, featuring 360-degree endless steering, enclosed safety cabins, and comprehensive spare parts packages. Contractors must provide direct delivery to three locations: Kawakami Ammunition Depot (2 units), Akizuki Ammunition Depot (1 unit), and Torii Station in Okinawa (1 unit), with all shipping costs included in quotations. The government will evaluate quotes based on total evaluated price for the contract line items, intending to award to the lowest-priced quote meeting all technical requirements. Key contract requirements include providing 24-hour warranty response for maintenance and repair services, operation manuals and electrical drawings in both English and Japanese, and on-site testing and training in Japanese. The solicitation closing date is September 4, 2025, though dates remain tentative pending final solicitation release.
This procurement is set aside for Women-Owned Small Businesses and operates under a firm fixed-price contract structure with a 270-calendar day delivery timeline from award date. The solicitation amendment increased the original requirement from two to four forklifts, expanding delivery locations beyond the initial Kawakami Ammunition Depot to include Akizuki Ammunition Depot and Torii Station. Contractors located outside Japan must provide contact information for their Japanese partner companies to support local delivery and warranty obligations. The procurement includes comprehensive technical specifications requiring brand-new equipment with 1-year or 1,000-hour warranties, LED safety lighting, cabin heaters, and specialized outdoor protection kits. Each forklift must undergo a 180-day acceptance period with spare parts packages, and the contractor must provide basic operation training to military personnel in Japanese. The government reserves the right to award all, some, or none of the contract line items under this solicitation.
