About this opportunity
The Department of the Interior Bureau of Indian Affairs Western Region is seeking a contractor to provide preventative maintenance and repair services for large chiller and related air conditioning equipment at three Arizona locations: Coolidge, San Carlos, and Oracle. Prospective vendors must hold a valid Arizona contractor's license for air conditioning maintenance and demonstrate a satisfactory record of past performance. Interested contractors should submit a statement of qualifications, past performance documentation, and their Arizona contractor's license number via email to Randall.Brown@bia.gov by the February 2, 2026 deadline. While specific evaluation criteria are not detailed in the notice, the government emphasizes the importance of documented performance history and proper licensing credentials. Vendors requiring clarification on the opportunity may contact the contracting officer at (520) 560-2590 or via email through the deadline date.
This procurement is designated as a set-aside for Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEEs), restricting competition to eligible minority-owned firms. The contract covers maintenance services on one Carrier chiller unit and fourteen split and rooftop air conditioning units distributed across seven facilities over a base year plus four option years. The estimated contract value is considerably less than $350,000, classified as a simplified acquisition. The scope of work includes one annual chiller inspection with comprehensive servicing, three quarterly chiller inspections, one annual split/rooftop unit inspection with coil cleaning and component maintenance, and three quarterly split/rooftop unit inspections, with all findings documented in written reports to the Contract Officer's Technical Representative. Emergency after-hours and weekend service calls are billed separately from the proposed preventative maintenance pricing structure.
