About this opportunity

The National Institutes of Health Office of Logistics and Acquisition Operations is announcing a sole-source procurement for one PrisMax V3 Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy machine, one TherMax Blood Warmer accessory, and one PrisMax Warmer Arm Kit totaling $32,868.25, with a response deadline of September 26, 2026. Vantive holds exclusive rights to the PrisMax CRRT system; no competing equipment provides equivalent capabilities for the specified therapies (CVVHDF, CVVHD, CVVH, SCUF). The equipment will support the NIH Clinical Center's newly established Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and serves patients weighing 20 kilograms or more with acute renal failure, fluid overload, or conditions requiring plasma component removal and therapeutic plasma exchange. The Clinical Center has integrated five existing PrisMax units with its EHR system (CRIS) since 2020; procurement of an identical sixth unit maintains protocol consistency, ensures patient safety, and avoids operational, IT, cybersecurity, training, and labor costs associated with introducing incompatible equipment. Market research included ECRI equipment comparison reports and consultation with the Clinical Center's Standardization Committee. The procurement falls within the simplified acquisition threshold.
