About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is conducting market research through a Sources Sought notice (Solicitation Number FA8222-26-14860) to identify qualified sources for Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly support services. This pre-solicitation notice is not a formal solicitation but rather a mechanism to determine the availability of responsible sources and assess whether the procurement can be competitive and/or set aside for small businesses. The government seeks detailed capability statements from interested parties describing their experience providing similar PCB assembly services to both government and commercial customers over the past three years, along with identification of small business status and relevant past performance. Potential offerors are required to review the attached draft Performance Work Statement to understand the specific technical requirements and performance standards. The response deadline for this Sources Sought is March 26, 2026, and interested parties must submit their expressions of interest via email to the designated government contacts.
This pre-solicitation notice has been issued without a set-aside designation, though the government remains actively interested in receiving responses from small businesses, including 8(a) firms, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned businesses, HUBZone-certified companies, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The applicable NAICS code is 332999 (All Other Miscellaneous Fabricated Metal Product Manufacturing) with a corresponding size standard of 750 employees. No incumbent contractor or award value information is specified in the Sources Sought notice, as this is a market research phase intended to gather information for determining the optimal acquisition strategy. Respondents are required to provide company information including CAGE code, point of contact details, familiarity with Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) payment systems, and System for Award Management (SAM) registration confirmation. For any proposed teaming arrangements, respondents must clearly delineate the work to be performed by the prime contractor versus subcontractors or teaming partners.
