About this opportunity
The Department of Homeland Security's Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) is seeking a contractor to provide preventive maintenance services for bindery equipment located in the Digital Print Center at its Glynco, Georgia facility. The Request for Quote (RFQ) solicits proposals for comprehensive equipment maintenance, specifically requiring four service visits per year for nine different pieces of bindery machinery, including punches, paper cutters, stitchers, folders, and binding/laminating equipment. The contract will have a base period of one year with two potential one-year option periods, with all maintenance to be performed by trained technicians following manufacturer recommendations. The government will use a tradeoff analysis for award determination, evaluating three key factors: Technical Capability, Past Performance, and Price. Interested vendors must submit their RFQ SF 1449, any applicable amendments, and evaluation factors to Contracting Officer Gregory Hodgson via email by April 17, 2025, at 4:30 PM EST.
The solicitation is designated as a total small business set-aside with a NAICS code of 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) and a size standard of $34 million. The previous contractor was Electronic Imaging LLC, who held a contract valued at $13,320 for the period from October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024. Contractors must complete a background check and obtain a FLETC Visitor Access Badge to perform work, with all maintenance activities conducted during business hours between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM EST. The place of performance is located in Brunswick, Georgia 31524, and the work will support FLETC's mission of training federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement officers. Technicians will be required to complete a detailed Quarterly Preventive Maintenance Checklist after each service visit, documenting comprehensive inspections of mechanical, electrical, and functional components of the bindery equipment.
