About this opportunity

The U.S. Embassy in Mexico City is seeking a contractor to provide preventive maintenance services for photovoltaic systems across two separate buildings. This civilian procurement through the Department of State falls under the Solar Electric Power Systems category (PSC 6117) and will be evaluated based on responsible sourcing with potential award without discussion. All responsible sources are eligible to submit quotations, and the government has indicated that it may make a contract award based on initial offers without conducting discussions with offerors. A site visit is planned, with details to be provided in the formal solicitation once posted on SAM.gov. The contract carries no set-aside designation and represents a standard competitive procurement. The anticipated performance period consists of a base year with four optional one-year periods that the government may exercise at its discretion, providing up to five years of potential service continuity. While specific award values and budget ranges are not disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice, the procurement focuses on maintaining solar power generation infrastructure at a diplomatic facility. No incumbent contractor information is provided at this stage. Electronic submission of quotations is permitted, and interested contractors are strongly encouraged to complete their SAM registration immediately to ensure eligibility when the formal solicitation is released on SAM.gov.
