The solicitation targets vendors capable of performing biannual maintenance on multiple Tuttenauer and Lancer autoclaves and Basil and Reliance washers during business hours. Interested parties must submit a comprehensive quote package including company information, SAM.gov registration, a signed SF1449 form with pricing, and technical capability documentation demonstrating past performance. Vendors are required to provide three performance references and a narrative detailing their maintenance service experience. Key deadlines include questions due by 8:00am on 3/7/25 to Contracting Officer Kathy Melbe at kathleen.melby@usda.gov, with quote submissions required by 3:30pm EST using the solicitation number in the email subject line.
This contract opportunity is set aside exclusively for small businesses under NAICS code 811210 with a $34 million size standard. The contract structure includes a base year and four optional subsequent years, focusing on preventative equipment maintenance for laboratory settings. Vendors must submit complete documentation, with incomplete packages being immediately disqualified from consideration. The place of performance is specifically located in Ames, IA 50010, and the procurement allows for two potential maintenance approach options: a comprehensive annual kit replacement or a parts-replacement approach as needed during maintenance visits. While specific award values were not explicitly detailed, the solicitation indicates a firm fixed-price contract model for the requested services. The government has provided flexibility by extending the original quote due date from 4/9/25 to 4/15/25 at 3:00pm CT through an official amendment.
