The contractor must provide annual preventative maintenance, diagnostics, calibration, and inspection services for a minimum of eight specified machines, including surface grinders, CNC mills and lathes, waterjets, and EDM equipment from manufacturers such as Haas, Bridgeport, Clausing, Kent, and Flow. Key qualifications require demonstrated technical expertise with the specified machine brands, documented experience with mixed-fleet machine tool maintenance through at least two recent contracts of similar size and scope, and possession of relevant Government contract vehicles such as GWACs or GSA Federal Supply Schedules. Capability statements of no more than five pages must be submitted addressing company information, socioeconomic status, detailed experience, technical expertise, and existing government contract vehicles. Interested parties must submit their capability statements to Contract Specialist Dawson Hopkinson and Contracting Officer Ron Wilson by May 5, 2026 at 10:00 AM MDT, with this notice serving as market research only and not constituting a formal solicitation.
This opportunity carries no set-aside designation and includes no identified incumbent contractor. The contract scope encompasses approximately $700,000 in instructional and research equipment with a performance start date of July 1, 2025, structured as a Base Year plus four one-year Option Periods. Services must include OEM-recommended preventative maintenance, comprehensive system inspections covering electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and coolant components, machine leveling and alignment, advanced diagnostics including vibration analysis and spindle condition checks, and detailed written service reports, with all travel and living expenses inclusive in pricing. Three additional machines—a FANUC RoboCut C400iC Wire EDM, Titan i25s EDM Drill, and Haas VF-4 CNC Mill—are available as optional services, and separately funded on-call reactive repair services may also be available. The notice emphasizes small business participation opportunities and includes an ombudsman contact for resolution of any concerns during the market research phase.
