About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Subsistence is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) regarding fresh fruits and vegetables support for military and federally funded customers, including U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Naval ships visiting ports in Huatulco, Manzanillo, Puerto Vallarta, and Tiapas-Tapachula, Mexico. This market research initiative seeks vendor feedback and comments on subsistence prime vendor support capabilities for the OCONUS (Outside Continental United States) SPV Program. The government will not pay respondents for information provided or reimburse costs incurred in developing responses, and participation in this RFI does not constitute a commitment for future business or guarantee contract award. The primary objective is to gather market intelligence to inform future procurement strategy, with responses to be used for informational purposes only. The deadline for submitting RFI responses is December 29, 2025. Proprietary information submitted will be protected if appropriately marked by respondents.
This pre-solicitation notice includes no set-aside designations, and no incumbent contractors or current award values are identified at this stage of market research. As this is strictly a Request for Information rather than a formal solicitation, no specific quantity requirements, contract values, or service timelines are provided. The NAICS classification for this opportunity is 311991 (Perishable Prepared Food Manufacturing), indicating the focus on perishable food products. No evaluation criteria for future solicitation awards are outlined in this RFI, as the government is primarily gathering vendor capabilities and market conditions data. Interested vendors should note that responding to this RFI places them on the government's radar for potential future solicitations but creates no binding obligation from the government to issue contracts.
