About this opportunity

Naval Sea Systems Command's Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division seeks to purchase Peel 3D handheld 3D scanners and accessories via simplified acquisition procedures, with quotes due July 23. The procurement is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside restricted to Peel 3D brand products only; no substitutions are permitted.

Place of performance is Crane, Indiana (Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division, 300 Highway 361, Crane, IN 47522). The requirement includes three Peel 3.CAD handheld scanners, three dongle licenses, three rugged cases, three 24V docking systems with lithium-ion batteries manufactured by Creaform, and three one-year V.I. Peel Customer Care Plans. The scanners must utilize a laser source with scan accuracy of up to 0.05mm, weigh less than 3 pounds, include watertight/crushproof/dustproof rugged cases, have no wireless connectivity capability on any components, and feature hardwired Ethernet connection capability. The systems support Marine Corps Expeditionary Fabrication (XFAB), Tactical Fabrication (TACFAB), and Advanced Integrated Mobile Machine Shop (AIMMS) programs.

Market research conducted in 2024–2025 evaluated three handheld 3D scanner alternatives and determined Peel 3D as the only product meeting government requirements, including non-Chinese manufacturing and compatibility with existing USMC fielded systems. The system has been tested and approved at NSWC Crane with cybersecurity certification and USMC fielding approval.

Award will be firm fixed price with quotes priced FOB Destination; separate shipping charges are not permitted. Reference number is N00167-26-SIMACQ-CD-61-0126. NAICS code is 334519; PSC is 6650. Business size standard is 600 employees. Evaluation is technical pass/fail.
