About this opportunity

This pre-solicitation notice seeks housekeeping services for the Alaska VA Healthcare System. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to issue a request for proposal for hospital-grade janitorial services at multiple medical centers and clinics in Alaska. Proposals will be evaluated based on the ability of service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses to adequately provide cleaning services for the period from June 2024 to June 2028, with an optional six-month extension. Interested parties should monitor the Federal Business Opportunities website for issuance of the RFP in mid-March, with proposals due in mid-May and award anticipated in early June.

The acquisition is set aside exclusively for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses and has a NAICS code of 561720 for janitorial services. The size standard is $22 million. The total potential value is unspecified but likely exceeds $22 million given the period of performance. Proposals must demonstrate the ability to provide housekeeping services for the Alaska VA Healthcare System's Muldoon Healthcare Center, Domiciliary, Transitional Housing Apartments, and Soldotna, Homer, and Mat-Su based outpatient clinics.
