About this opportunity

The Department of the Army Medical Command is seeking to procure two ManoScan ESO Z Catheters with one-year extended warranties, which are high-resolution esophageal catheters for Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center at Fort Hood, Texas. This presolicitation notice indicates the requirement will be fulfilled through a brand name or equal specification under NAICS code 339112 (Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing). The government anticipates awarding a Firm-Fixed Price contract with delivery required by September 30, 2025. All interested contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database through SAM.gov to participate in this procurement. The formal solicitation is expected to be published on approximately August 18, 2025, with responses due by August 18, 2025.

This procurement opportunity is designated as a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside under FAR Part 19.502-2, restricting participation to small businesses with 1,000 employees or fewer per the applicable size standard. No incumbent contractors or current providers are identified in this presolicitation notice. The contract will involve the purchase of exactly two high-resolution esophageal catheter units, each requiring a one-year extended warranty beyond standard manufacturer coverage. While no specific budget range or award value is disclosed in this notice, the procurement timeline spans from the anticipated solicitation release in mid-August through the required delivery completion by the end of September 2025. The relatively short procurement timeline of approximately six weeks from solicitation to delivery suggests this is a straightforward commercial item acquisition.
