The Bureau of Engraving and Printing, under the Department of the Treasury, is soliciting prescription safety eyewear services for employees at its Washington, DC Currency Facility. The procurement seeks a contractor to provide comprehensive optical services (excluding eye examinations), including eyewear fitting, safety glass selection, and on-site optician visits eight times annually across day, evening, and midnight shifts. The contractor must employ ABO/NCLE certified opticians and ensure all safety eyewear complies with ANSI Z87.1-2020 standards, with frame price limits of $50 for spectacles with side protection and $65 for spectacles with additional protective features. Evaluation will be based on technical capability, past performance (from similar contracts within the last three years), and price, with the award going to the responsible offeror whose offer is most advantageous to the government. Questions and clarification requests were due by January 12, 2026, and quotations must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. EST on January 23, 2026, to Sonia.Barnhill@bep.gov.
