About this opportunity
The Department of the Army National Guard is seeking a portable 100-ton chiller with pump package through a pre-solicitation notice posted on March 19, 2025, with responses due by April 2, 2025. The procurement involves an air-cooled scroll packaged chiller with extensive technical specifications, including 60 hertz, 460-volt, 3-phase electrical requirements and comprehensive refrigeration features. The chiller must be UL-listed, ASHRAE 90.1 compliant, and AHRI certified, with capabilities to operate in temperatures ranging from 0°F to 125°F. Key requirements include a 300 GPM pump mounted on a hot-dipped galvanized skid, integrated electrical and control systems, standalone temperature controls, and multiple safety features. While specific evaluation criteria are not explicitly detailed, the solicitation indicates a focus on technical compliance, manufacturing quality, and comprehensive system performance.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, suggesting the opportunity is open to all qualified vendors. No incumbent contractors are mentioned in the documentation. While a precise award value is not specified, the technical complexity and specialized nature of the equipment suggest a significant procurement investment. The unit requires a comprehensive package including the chiller, pump, structural mounting frame, electrical systems, and associated components, with a total quantity of one (1) unit requested. The contract timeline implies immediate procurement, with the requirement that the unit be manufactured according to NEC codes, undergo hydrostatic pressure testing, and be test-run before final acceptance. The chiller must be mounted on a trailer-compatible skid with forklift mobility, white-coated exterior, and include certified structural calculations from a third-party engineering firm.
