Firms that believe they can provide equivalent services are encouraged to submit written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 days from the March 5, 2026 publication date to potentially challenge the sole source determination. The Government will use responses to this notice solely to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement, and the final decision to compete or award on a sole source basis rests entirely with the Government. The official due date for responses is March 15, 2026, and inquiries may be directed to Phil Alexander at 770-488-2067 (facsimile) or PALEXANDER@CDC.GOV (email). No formal evaluation criteria have been specified since this is a sole source procurement rather than a competitive bid.
