The solicitation requires photographing 250-300 historic artifacts located across multiple museum sites in the continental United States, including locations in Washington D.C., Virginia, Illinois, California, and several other states. Contractors must utilize professional digital full-frame camera equipment to capture high-resolution (600 DPI) images in both TIFF and JPEG formats, documenting artifacts with multiple perspectives using white, black, or grey backgrounds. The photography must be unedited, with images suitable for a 9x12 landscape book, and all photographs will be transferred directly to NHHC. The response deadline for this solicitation is May 8, 2025, with a total performance period of 4 months, and all final images required by September 20, 2025.
This contract is specifically set aside for small businesses within the Commercial Photography NAICS category (541922), with a size standard of $9,000,000. The total estimated travel budget for the project is $31,000, which will be reimbursed via actual receipts, and contractors will be responsible for all supplies, materials, equipment, staffing, and travel costs. Photography will span multiple significant naval museums, including the U.S. Navy Seabee Museum, National Naval Aviation Museum, Naval War College Museum, and the Naval Undersea Museum, among others. The place of performance is primarily in Washington, DC (zip code 20374), with multiple museum locations across the United States.
