About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Baltimore District, in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Construction Facilities Management, is hosting an Industry Day for the Perry Point Community Living Center Construction project. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the Perry Point VA Medical Center Campus in Building 314's Auditorium. The special notice announces an industry engagement opportunity for a significant construction project involving a new 96-bed Community Living Center. The facility will include resident houses with private rooms and baths, medical and community amenities, and parking facilities. The project is currently in the planning stages, with anticipated advertisement expected in Fiscal Year 2026.

Contractors interested in participating must meet specific criteria, including having a minimum bonding capacity of $250 million and specializing in general construction. To attend the Industry Day, firms must RSVP via email to Contract Specialist Erica Stiner by 5:00 pm ET on November 12, 2024, with mandatory carbon copies to the Contracting Officer and Project Manager. The day's agenda includes a morning presentation and Q&A session, followed by one-on-one interviews in the afternoon. Pre-registration is required for both the general session and interview timeslots, which will be confirmed by USACE prior to the event. The primary objective of the Industry Day is to receive feedback on the Construction Acquisition Method for the design and construction of the Community Living Center, providing an opportunity for potential contractors to engage directly with government representatives and understand the project's scope and requirements.
