About this opportunity

This Special Notice was published by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Geology, Minerals, Energy, and Geophysics Science Center (GMEG). The notice is to satisfy the requirements of FAR Subpart 5.2 and indicates GMEG's intent to award a purchase order to PerkinElmer US LLC for the maintenance and repair of its Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrophotometer (ICP-MS) NexION 2000 Model C.

The purpose of the notice is for a single source solicitation due to PerkinElmer being the only vendor with proprietary information and access to parts for maintaining and repairing the ICP-MS instrument. The notice establishes a deadline of January 29, 2024 at 12:00pm Eastern Time for any responses, though no solicitation will be issued as GMEG intends to make a sole source award to PerkinElmer. According to the notice, only PerkinElmer is certified for technical support, upgrades, and has factory trained engineers available to service the ICP-MS and maintain its original operating specifications. Responses shall only be accepted via email to the address provided and must be received in their entirety by the stated deadline.
