AMENDMENT 0001 TO SOLICITATION RFQ 140P6219Q0059 for Mechanized Tree Thinning at Pea Ridge National Military Park, Garfield, Arkansas
The purpose of this amendment is to provide the Government's responses to questions posed by prospective quoters. The Questions and Responses are furnished in the SF-30 document included with this Notice.
The solicitation closing date and time is extended to Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. central time.

This RFQ, 140P6219Q0059, is for a firm-fixed-price services contract for Mechanized Tree Thinning for approximately 136 acres of forested areas, and removal of approximately 1,500 pieces of pre-cut lumber at Pea Ridge National Military Park, located in Garfield, Arkansas.
NAICS CODE: 115310, Fuels Management Services
SET-ASIDE: Total Small Business
SIZE STANDARD: $20.5 million
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: It is anticipated that a contract will be awarded in the mid- to late- September 2019 time frame, with a Contractor performance start date of not later than seven (7) calendar days after being issued a written Notice to Proceed by the Contracting Officer. The contract completion date will be not later than March 31, 2020.
SITE VISIT: Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. central time.

Quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.
NOTE: Contact the Contracting Officer by e-mail at kathryn_logsdon@nps.gov no later than 2:00 p.m. central time on Monday, September 9, 2019 if planning to attend the 9/10/2019 scheduled site visit.
QUESTIONS: Questions regarding this solicitation are to be e-mailed to the Contracting Officer at kathryn_logsdon@nps.gov no later than 2:00 p.m. central time on Friday, September 13, 2019.
SAM REGISTRATION AND ANNUAL REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS: All Quoters are to have a Dun & Bradstreet number, be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM), have completed their Annual Representations and Certifications and be represented as a small business concern in the NAICS Code of 115310 AT THE TIME THE QUOTER SUBMITS ITS QUOTE. Failure to have this requirement completed at the time of submission will render the quote ineligible for consideration. Access to the System for Award Management (SAM) website can be made at www.sam.gov.
RESPONSE TIME AND AWARD: Response time for submission of all quotes will be Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. central time. Quoters are to submit their quotation packages to the Contracting Officer by e-mail to kathryn_logsdon@nps.gov so it is received no later than that date and time. The government will make award to the Quoter whose quote, conforming to the solicitation requirements, is determined to be the best value to the Government when applying lowest price technically acceptable evaluation process.
