The procurement is classified under NAICS category 339112 for Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing, with potential vendors required to submit detailed capabilities statements including business information, CAGE code, and DUNS number. Key submission deadlines include February 20, 2025, for questions and February 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM Pacific Time for responses. Evaluation criteria will likely focus on technical compliance, vendor capabilities, and alignment with the specific medical equipment requirements outlined in the Statement of Need.
The contract is set aside as a Total Small Business opportunity, welcoming responses from various small business categories including 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSB), and HUBZone businesses. While no specific award value is mentioned, the procurement includes comprehensive requirements such as complete installation, configuration, and training for 10 personnel. The technical specifications demand a system with HD recording, still image capture, frame-by-frame playback, DICOM interface, and PACS network connectivity. The endoscope must have specific technical characteristics, including a 3mm diameter with LED illumination, and be compatible with existing Pentax equipment. The system will be mounted on a mobile cart with a small footprint and include a 21" HD monitor, primarily serving Speech Pathology services and ENT providers at the medical facility.
