Update #2 · Latest ·

A site visit will be held regarding this project on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 9:00 a.m.

Anyone interested in attending the site visit shall report to the Prairie City Ranger District Office in Prairie City, Oregon no later than 9:00 a.m. All parties will then travel out to the project site together.

Update #1 ·

Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, equipment, transportation, supplies (unless specified elsewhere as Government furnished) and incidentals, required to construct the fencing as described in the specification sheets.

This project consists of constructing 4 different types of fences. See Specifications for each for more detail.

1. Big-game fence (using at least 60" high woven wire fence)

2. Buck and Pole Fence

3. 4-wire (top 3 wires barbed, bottom smooth)

4. Group ex-closure fences (using at least 60" high woven wire fence). These are small in size and don't require gates.

Use of ATV is allowed for use in small areas. Unit 1 B may have some access issues. There is an old road route that is usable, but crossess a fence without a gate. If you cut the fence, it is necessary to ensure cattle don't escape during and after work operations.

Boundaries of the fencing will be flagged by black and white stripped ribbon. The current perimeter lengths submitted were GPS'd using a survey grade sub-meter accurate GPS device (Trible GeoXT). Alterations to the length and position of the fence may be altered if it is clear of aspen. This is expected to be minimal.
