About this opportunity
The Bureau of Indian Affairs Navajo Region seeks pavement marking and re-striping services on BIA routes within the Western Navajo Agency, with proposals due September 15, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. MDT. Place of performance is Tuba City, Arizona, encompassing 33 BIA routes (N15 through N6465) spanning approximately 155 miles. The scope includes application of high-build waterborne traffic paint (Type C) with Type 1 and Type 3 glass beads totaling approximately 2,513,747.8 feet of 4-inch-wide markings. Work includes solid and broken white and yellow lines, stop bars, crosswalks, arrows, and specialty lettering using thermoplastic materials. The contractor must mobilize personnel and equipment and assumes responsibility for equipment standby costs and damages to obstructions. Compliance with FP24 Section 634 (Standard Specification for Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Projects) is required. Application is permitted only when pavement and air temperatures reach 50 degrees Fahrenheit and rising, with wet film thickness of 25 mils minimum or 71 square feet per gallon. Period of performance runs September 18 through October 31, 2026 (30 days from Notice to Proceed). This is a firm-fixed-price commercial purchase order. NAICS code is 237310 with a $45 million size standard. Service Contract Act prevailing wage rates apply per Wage Determination Nos. 2015-5465 (Coconino County) and 2015-5477 (Apache, Gila, and Navajo counties).
