About this opportunity

This Special Notice from the Department of the Interior National Park Service Intermountain Region is a Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition for emergency dispatch services at Padre Island National Seashore.

The Notice seeks to continue obtaining emergency dispatch services exclusively from the Kelberg County Sheriff's Office, as they are the only local entity with a full dispatch center and licensed staff that can directly dispatch all needed emergency resources for the park concurrently trained and equipped to coordinate responses. KCSO has been providing these exact services to PAIS for the past ten years under an existing cooperative agreement. As the independent government estimate for these services is $41,645.21 annually, and given KCSO's experience and capabilities, they are identified as the only acceptable provider to maintain continuity of dispatch support for park law enforcement. No response is required or will be accepted as this is a special notice of sole source justification.
