About this opportunity
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has issued a Sole Source Justification Notice for a critical disaster relief housing contract with Reedville Rental in Dixie County, Florida, following Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The contract involves leasing four Mobile Home Units and three Travel Trailer lots/pads located at 17700 SE Hwy 19, Cross City, FL, to provide temporary housing for disaster survivors. The procurement is justified under FAR 13.106 as the only reasonably available source, with a contract duration of 18 months from the Presidential Disaster Declarations on 9/28/2024 and 10/11/2024. Market research included contacting ten potential vendors to determine lot pricing, and the contract will be funded through Disaster Relief Funds (4828DR-FL and 4834DR-FL) during Fiscal Years 2025 and 2026. While the total contract value is not fully disclosed, the contract is structured as a Fixed Firm Price agreement with an initial three-month term and potential five six-month options, emphasizing the urgent need to quickly house hurricane survivors and prevent delays in disaster assistance.
