About this opportunity

The Special Notice is for a single source contract to supply water-based Ochratoxin-A test kits for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Based on market research, USDA has determined that only one manufacturer, Romer Labs, produces test kits meeting the required water-based and sensitivity specifications. USDA intends to award a five-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with an estimated total value of $75,000.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to announce USDA's intent to issue a single source contract for Ochratoxin-A test kits. The test kits must be water-based, analyze Ochratoxin-A in various wheat products, have a testing range of 5 to 100 parts per billion, and be simple to use. The due date for responses is November 5, 2024. Since this is a single source procurement, only Romer Labs meets the technical requirements and is eligible to participate. USDA will award a five-year IDIQ contract to Romer Labs to supply the required test kits.
