About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is seeking to procure 20 Support, Turbine Nozzle components (NSN: 2840-01-224-4243, Part Number: 9529M97G15) for the F108 engine through a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items. The solicitation, numbered SPRTA1-25-R-0133, is a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a firm fixed-price contract covering four contract line items (CLINs) for new/unused and used/overhauled surplus parts from government and commercial sources. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and submit electronic proposals by March 24, 2025, at 3:00 PM CST to Alex Varughese. The evaluation will use Performance Price Tradeoff procedures, with technical acceptability as a prerequisite, considering factors such as Technical, Cost/Price, Past Performance, and Small Business Participation. Only government-approved repair sources, specifically CFM International, Inc. and General Electric Company, are currently authorized to produce the part.

The solicitation has no specific set-aside designation and is open to vendors in the Aircraft Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing sector (NAICS 336412). The parts are made of Inconel 718 and Hastelloy X, measuring approximately 8x8x22 inches and weighing 70 pounds. Delivery is scheduled in increments of 5 units from March to June 2025, with all units to be delivered to the DLA Distribution Depot Oklahoma at Tinker Air Force Base. Potential contractors must implement the Department of Defense's Wide Area Workflow Receipt and Acceptance (WAWF-RA) software application and comply with specific packaging requirements outlined in MIL-STD-129 and MIL-STD-2073-1. The contract requires vendors to maintain pricing for 120 days and adhere to Item Unique Identification (IUID) marking standards as specified in MIL-STD-130.
