About this opportunity
Paragraph 1:
The Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center San Diego (FLCSD) has issued a Special Notice to announce its intent to award a sole source contract to General Electric Company for a Parameter Editor, which is essential for the Naval Postgraduate School's (NPS) Powder Bed Fusion (PBF) M2 Concept machine. This Special Notice is not a request for competitive proposals, and no solicitation document exists for this requirement.
Paragraph 2:
The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform interested parties of NAVSUP's intent to award a firm fixed price contract to General Electric Company for the Parameter Editor, which allows users to customize and fine-tune printing parameters such as laser power, scanning speed, and layer thickness. Interested parties must submit a capability statement that includes technical data and cost information, demonstrating their ability to provide the Parameter Editor and proof of being an authorized distributor of the product. The capability statements are due by 3:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST) on August 5, 2024, and will be considered by the government to determine whether to proceed with a sole source purchase or conduct a competitive procurement.
