About this opportunity
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Special Notice expressing its intent to award a sole source contract to Ecolab, Inc. for annual preventative maintenance services on a Bioquell QUBE Mark IV Aseptic Processing Workstation. This specialized equipment is used by the CDC's Clinical and Environmental Microbiology Branch. The CDC will award a firm fixed-price, sole source contract to Ecolab, Inc. for a one-year base period plus three 12-month option periods to provide the required maintenance and repair services.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform the public of the CDC's plan to sole source this contract to Ecolab, Inc. as the original equipment manufacturer and sole authorized provider of the necessary services. The CDC conducted market research but did not identify any other qualified vendors capable of providing the needed maintenance. Interested parties may submit capability statements by 1400 PST on November 15, 2024, but the government will make the final determination on whether to proceed with a sole source award or conduct a competitive procurement.
