About this opportunity

The Department of Commerce's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has issued a Special Notice for serological analyses of pathogens in Alaskan pinnipeds. NOAA's Alaskan Fisheries Science Center, Marine Mammal Laboratory, requires these services and intends to award a sole source contract to the One Health Institute at the University of California, Davis.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to conduct serological analyses on serum samples collected from Alaskan pinnipeds between 2009-2024, with more samples expected in the future. The Government is seeking sources capable of performing these analyses and has set a deadline of July 26, 2024 for interested parties to submit capability statements demonstrating their technical and cost capabilities. NOAA will consider all responses received by the deadline solely as market research to determine if a competitive procurement is necessary. The proposed performance period is a 5-year base period from September 15, 2024 to September 30, 2029, with a 5-year option period.
