About this opportunity

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration published a Special Notice of Intent to Sole Source a contract with the Port of Seattle. The NOAA Marine Operations Center requires moorage and utility services for its vessel NOAA Ship Fairweather at the Port of Seattle from March 8 through April 12, 2024.

The purpose of the Special Notice is to provide public notice of NOAA's intent to negotiate solely with the Port of Seattle to secure approximately 250 feet of pier space with at least 25 feet of clearance at the Mean Lower Low Water mark for the NOAA Ship Fairweather. The space must be gated and secure with 24-hour access. Interested parties have 15 days from the notice date to submit documentation demonstrating their ability to meet the requirements and justify a competitive procurement rather than a sole source award. The notice provides points of contact for any submissions to be considered solely for determining the potential for a competitive procurement; however, the decision to sole source is at the government's discretion.
