About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Medical Command, through the East Services Branch Health Readiness Contracting Office at Joint Base San Antonio, issued a notice of intent to sole-source award to Alcon Vision, LLC for one CENTURION Vision System and four Centurion ACTIVE SENTRY Handpieces, with a response deadline of May 27, 2026. The procurement is restricted to a single source under FAR 12.102(a), citing the provision of highly specialized supplies where award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of costs or unacceptable delays in fulfilling requirements. The equipment will be delivered to Keller Army Community Hospital at West Point, New York. The CENTURION Vision System includes proprietary functions including ACTIVE SENTRY Technology, Active Fluidics, OZil IP, and the INTREPID AUTOSERT IOL Injector Handpiece. The purchase order is valued at or below the simplified acquisition threshold. All responsible sources may submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations for consideration by the contracting officer. Concerns regarding the sole-source intent should be directed to Contracting Officer Sara Fetterolf (sara.m.fetterolf.civ@health.mil) or Contract Specialist Mohamed Koroma (mohamed.k.koroma.civ@health.mil).
