About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) at Fort Knox intends to sole-source a firm-fixed-price contract to The Expo Group, LLC for convention ancillary services at the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Lead, Learn, Serve 2026 Annual Meeting in Anaheim, California, November 6–9, 2026, with capability statements due by October 29, 2026 at 8:00 AM Eastern Time.

The procurement covers carpeting, carpet padding, labor, accessories, electrical services, and material handling services valued at or below the simplified acquisition threshold. The sole-source award is justified under FAR Part 12 (commercial products and services) because The Expo Group is the official convention service contractor designated by AAMC; no other vendor is authorized to provide these services at the event, and the deadline for requesting exceptions to use alternative contractors expired September 25, 2026. Market research confirmed no competing sources are available.

Although this is not a competitive solicitation and no formal RFP will be posted, interested parties may submit capability statements demonstrating ability to meet the requirement, including relevant experience, pricing information if available, and supporting documentation. Submissions must be sent via email to Contract Specialist Jordan A. Fries (jordan.a.fries.civ@army.mil) and Contracting Officer Andrea M. Skilinski (andrea.m.skilinski.civ@army.mil). Funding is from Operations and Maintenance appropriations for fiscal year 2027.
