About this opportunity
The Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific has published a Special Notice announcing its intent to award a sole source contract to Zapata Technology for licenses and professional services. The contract will support configuration and integration of technology tools into the existing Logistics Information Technology (LOG IT) Infrastructure and Integration Team architecture. This is a firm-fixed-price purchase order with an estimated value of $500,000 and a 12-month performance period beginning upon contract award. The procurement falls under NAICS code 541512 for Computer Systems Integrator Services with a small business size standard of $34 million. The government intends to negotiate exclusively with Zapata Technology under simplified acquisition procedures authority.
The primary objective is to expand integration of Apache NiFi, MongoDB, and Grafana technologies to enable seamless interoperability with the Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) system through remote professional services. While this is not a competitive solicitation, responsible sources who believe they can fulfill the requirement may submit capability statements by the September 3, 2025 deadline for government consideration. The government retains sole discretion to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on any responses received. Contractors must demonstrate their ability to provide the specific integration services for the complex LOG IT infrastructure. The notice indicates that NAVWAR may also pursue related opportunities under their Commercial Solutions Offering program to articulate current needs and desired end-goals in more generic terms for potential prototype development.
