About this opportunity
The Department of Health and Human Services, through the Office of Mission Acquisition Solutions, issued a Notice of Intent to Award a sole-source contract to Cvent, Inc. for enterprise event management and registration services on October 22, 2026, with a five-calendar-day deadline for capability statement submissions ending October 27, 2026. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases requires the Cvent Enterprise Platform to support its Office of Workplace Solutions/Integrated Services and Solutions Branch, with capabilities including approximately 9,500 annual registrations, attendee engagement, onsite check-in, Single Sign-On integration, API access, 1 terabyte video storage, event branding, uncapped platform user logins, and scalability for additional registrations. The contract runs for a one-year base period from October 30, 2026 through October 29, 2027, with three optional one-year periods extending through October 29, 2030. The sole-source justification rests on NIAID's continuous use of Cvent since March 2020 and the operational risk of transitioning to an alternative platform. Interested parties may submit capability statements demonstrating ability to provide equivalent products and services satisfying minimum requirements without disruption to ongoing operations to matthew.fein@hhs.gov. If no affirmative responses demonstrate adequate capability, HHS will proceed with award to Cvent without further notice. The acquisition follows FAR 12.102 (Restricting Competition) under FAR Part 12 procedures.
