About this opportunity

This Special Notice was published by the Department of the Army Materiel Command Contracting Command Orlando Contracting Center. The notice announces the agency's intent to award a sole source contract to FAAC Incorporated for the design, development, production, integration, testing, management, documentation, delivery and installation of one Virtual Clearance Training Suite in support of Army Central Command in Kuwait.

The notice seeks to verify that no other source besides FAAC can meet the requirement due to significant duplication of costs that would not be recovered through competition. Interested parties were requested to submit capability statements by January 6, 2020 describing their experience, capabilities, and providing a rough order of magnitude price to be considered for the opportunity. FAAC is the intended sole source awardee for the firm fixed price contract due to their status as the incumbent provider and substantial costs of reverse engineering or replacing proprietary components that would not be recouped. The Virtual Clearance Training Suite will assist in training vehicle clearance crews and tasks up to the platoon level for the stated requirement.
