About this opportunity
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has issued a Special Notice for a sole source bridge contract for continued systems engineering and technical services to the NAWCAD Systems Engineering Department. The incumbent contractor, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), will be awarded the contract until the competitive follow-on contract is awarded.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform interested parties of NAVAIR's intent to award a sole source bridge contract to SAIC for a three-month base period with one three-month option. This sole source award is justified under 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, as award to any other source would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements. While this is not a request for competitive proposals, interested parties may identify their interest and technical capability and submit information by the October 14, 2024 deadline. The government will not be responsible for any costs associated with responses to this announcement.

THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
The Naval Air Systems Command Aircraft Division, Patuxent River (also referred to as the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD)) intends to award a sole source bridge contract to the incumbent, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) for continued systems engineering and technical services to the NAWCAD Systems Engineering Department until the competitive follow-on contract is awarded. While this notice of intent is for informational purposes only, and not a request for competitive proposals, interested parties may identify their interest and technical capability, respond to this notice, and submit information.
