About this opportunity
This Special Notice from the Department of the Air Force announces their intent to negotiate a sole-source contract with Project Solutions, Inc. for a Bullet Trap Life Cycle Cost Analysis. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541330 with a small business size standard of $22.5M.
The Notice aims to conduct an economic analysis comparing four recommended bullet trap designs used in small arms ranges. It requires the purchase of one job for a Bullet Trap Life Cycle Cost Analysis to be conducted by Project Solutions, Inc., as additional market research found them to be the only known woman-owned small business able to complete the analysis by September 30, 2023. While other sources could submit capability statements by the September 29th deadline for consideration, the contracting officer's justification determined awarding sole source to Project Solutions was in the best interest of the government due to their experience and ability to meet the required timeline.
