The anticipated award date is August 28, 2025, with a contract value estimated between the Simplified Acquisition Threshold and $750,000.

The primary objective of this procurement is to maintain critical inventory of parachute safety systems by replacing existing Automatic Activation Devices to prevent potential degradation that could prove fatal to personnel. The government retains sole discretion to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses received. Market research conducted across multiple platforms including GSA Advantage, GSA eLibrary, NASA SEWP, and Dynamic Small Business Search yielded no alternative suppliers for these specialized safety systems. The contract will be structured as a firm-fixed-price order with delivery expected approximately 180 days after receipt of order, and a Sole Source Justification Letter will be posted in accordance with FAR 6.305(a).
