About this opportunity
The National Museum of the United States Army (NMUSA) and Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal are conducting a market survey to identify contractors capable of providing design, fabrication, and installation services for a new 9/11 exhibit honoring the Corps of Engineers on the 25th Anniversary of September 11th, 2001. The Department of the Army seeks a Firm-Fixed-Price service contract for this museum exhibit project, which will be installed in the Museum's 800 square foot temporary gallery on the third floor at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Contractors must be geographically located within 75 miles of Fort Belvoir, VA, and possess experience in museum exhibit design, fabrication, and installation services. The evaluation will focus on vendors' company information including CAGE Code and SAM UEI, as well as their experience with U.S. Army, military, or federal government exhibit services contracts, with vendors required to provide up to three examples of prime contract experience. All questions were due by August 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM EST, with answers posted by August 22, 2025 at 5:00 PM EST, and the RFI closing on August 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM EST.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and no incumbent contractors are identified in the documentation. While specific award values or budget ranges are not disclosed in this market survey, the project involves comprehensive exhibit services including conceptual and final design documents, graphic design specifications, artifact case layouts, custom artifact mounts, conservation work, and audiovisual system development. The contract timeline spans from a target award date of September 22, 2025, through a period of performance from October 1, 2025 to June 1, 2026, with final installation completion required by June 1, 2026. The project requires museum-quality materials and professional project management, with contractors needing insurance coverage for potential damage to historic artifacts. This Request for Information is strictly for market research purposes and will not result in any contract award, with interested vendors directed to submit responses electronically to Contract Specialist Stephanie Pajot.
