About this opportunity

The Department of the Army National Guard Readiness Center is conducting market research for transportation services involving shuttle bus operations within a 100-150 mile radius of Arlington, VA. The sources sought notice seeks potential contractors capable of providing passenger transportation services with specific driver qualifications and vehicle requirements. Drivers must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License with Passenger endorsement, have a minimum of two years professional passenger transportation experience, and maintain a clean driving record with strict limitations on safety violations and accidents. All drivers must also have a valid DOT Medical Examination Card and pass pre-employment drug screenings. Critically, contractors must be approved by the Defense Travel Management Office (DTMO) and maintain a Military Bus Agreement, with no alternative commercial certifications accepted.

The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside designation and provides no information about potential award values or incumbent contractors. Vehicle specifications require a minimum seating capacity of 26 passengers, with at least one vehicle capable of accommodating 32 passengers. The sources sought response is due by February 21, 2025, and interested contractors must comprehensively address seven specific qualification criteria outlined in the notice. The procurement follows NAICS category 485999 for All Other Transit and Ground Passenger Transportation, suggesting this is a specialized transportation service requirement. While the notice emphasizes this is a market research effort and not a formal solicitation, it provides detailed expectations for potential service providers seeking to support the National Guard Readiness Center's transportation needs.
