About this opportunity

Naval Sea Systems Command is conducting market research to identify contractors for an Eaton 93PM 40kW uninterruptible power supply system with responses due July 6, 2026; this is a total small business set-aside. The procurement encompasses one permanent Eaton 93PM 40kW UPS unit with matching Narada 9-Module Lithium Battery cabinet and Eaton Power Xpert Gateway Card, temporary rental of one Powerware 9390 40kVA UPS unit (not to exceed eight months) during the 30-week manufacturing lead time, five-year manufacturer warranty and preventive maintenance service from September 1, 2026 through February 28, 2027, and complete installation, rigging, electrical work, and commissioning services for both systems. The permanent system must deliver 480 minutes of runtime and operate on 208V or 220V, 3-phase power supply. A temporary UPS system is required to support active load prior to decommissioning the legacy unit and installing the permanent system. Additional deliverables include EPA-compliant disposal of the existing faulty UPS, a 72-hour burn-in test period, joint inspection and sign-off, and as-built documentation and environmental disposal receipts. Total period of performance is 36 weeks from contract award. The Government requests rough order of magnitude cost estimates, company information (CAGE code, DUNS), capability descriptions, business size classification, and commerciality information. Responses should be submitted to Samantha.C.Mangum at Samantha.c.mangum.civ@us.navy.mil in Microsoft Office 2010 or PDF format. The Government will not reimburse response costs or compensate respondents for participation in this market research.
