About this opportunity
The Minnesota Army National Guard has issued a Special Notice for a sole source procurement action related to an NDI Interlock System rewiring and reprogramming project at the 148th Fighter Wing in Duluth, Minnesota. The notice, posted on January 3, 2025, indicates the intent to award the contract to Technical Services Group, Inc. (TSG), who is identified as the sole manufacturer and repair source for the required interlock system. This procurement falls under the Irradiation Apparatus Manufacturing NAICS category and is set aside for small businesses. The project involves updating an X-ray vault's interlock safety system to comply with current federal regulations, with a focus on system monitoring, safety components, and personnel training.
Contractors interested in this opportunity must submit any questions by January 9, 2025, at 1500 CST, with the understanding that the government retains sole discretion in determining whether to compete the procurement. While the notice suggests a direct award to TSG, all responsible sources are permitted to submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations for consideration. The procurement is specifically targeted at small businesses, with a narrow scope centered on replacing and evaluating existing monitoring systems, door switches, and potentially beacons. Participants should carefully review the attached documentation, particularly Technical Order 33B-1-1 for Nondestructive Inspection Methods, which provides additional context for the system requirements. The final award decision will be based on the government's evaluation of submitted materials and alignment with the specified technical requirements for the interlock system.
