About this opportunity

NATO Headquarters Supreme Allied Command Transformation (HQ SACT) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) regarding the Enhanced Air Surveillance (eAirSurv) capability under the Allied Future Surveillance and Control (AFSC) program. This RFI, published on March 9, 2026, seeks input from industry, academia, and NATO Nations on current and innovative solutions for air surveillance systems. The RFI is managed by the Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security and is designated as NAICS Category 334511 (Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing). This is a Special Notice with no set-asides and does not constitute a commitment to issue a future Request for Proposal. The initiative aims to evaluate the current state of capabilities available in the commercial market to address NATO's specific surveillance requirements.

HQ SACT seeks to identify immediate solutions, emerging technologies, and state-of-the-art capabilities for detecting, tracking, classifying, and identifying air objects of interest at altitudes between 0 and 10,000 feet above ground level, with initial implementation targeted for the end of 2027 and full deployment by 2030. Responses are due by 9:00 a.m. EST on April 6, 2026, with all questions due by March 18, 2026, and must be submitted to HQSACT.RFI.Contracting@nato.int with both technical and contracting points of contact included. Eligible respondents must be NATO Nations, industry organizations, or academic institutions originating from or chartered within NATO member states. Submissions are limited to 15 pages and must include system descriptions, product brochures, technical specifications, and customer references; pricing information is not requested at this time. HQ SACT will not reimburse response costs, and all submitted information becomes NATO property that may be shared with contracted third parties to support capability development and future procurement activities.
