Notice text
The purpose of the acquisition is to provide USCG victim advocates/applicants with the skills, credentialing and extensive knowledge of Victim Advocacy Program necessary to provide support to survivors of sexual assault. The National Advocate Credentialing Program (NACP) offered through NOVA launched in 2003 is the "only" voluntary credentialing program available to crime victims' advocates nationwide. Market research was conducted to determine if there were service providers who specialized in NACP credentialing services, which meets the USCG victim advocate certification criteria. The results of the market analysis concluded that NOVA is the only service provider that offers NACP credentialing. Additionally, NOVA NACP credentialing is a Department of Defense (DOD) requirement for all military Sexual Assault Response Coordinators (SARCs), who are granted access to the DOD Sexual Assault Incident Database (DSAID) used to record/track reports of sexual assault.
