About this opportunity
The United States Marine Corps seeks museum exhibit preservation and fabrication services for all 19 galleries within the National Museum of the Marine Corps at Quantico, Virginia, with proposals due July 13. The procurement is a Total Small Business set-aside and is structured as a Master IDIQ contract with a five-year ordering period; unit fixed prices proposed at base contract solicitation apply to all subsequent task orders.
Place of performance is Quantico, VA. Work encompasses exhibit conservation, realism, and optimization including fabrication and on-site installation to repair damaged exhibits and replace elements that failed to meet original design intent or hampered visitor traffic flow. Scope applies to any gallery element and includes graphics, artifact cases and mounts, realistic scenery, interactive kiosks, paint, minor drywall repair, media, AV systems, carpet, display structures, themed displays, floor coverings, samples, custom cases, micro mounts, and props. Task orders utilize a Unit Price Matrix with government-negotiated material costs; the government allows 10 business days for quote preparation. Work authorization requires a signed SF 1449 form, and contractors are prohibited from commencing work prior to authorization receipt.
An amendment effective June 11, 2026, adds three DFARS clauses (252.225-7000, 252.225-7001, and 252.225-7006) establishing Buy American and American Flag acquisition requirements. Task Order 1 spans five deliverables with delivery dates ranging from 90 to 270 calendar days after award, covering Gallery 11 Korean War exhibit sandbag preservation, graphics replacement across multiple galleries, fabrication of a Marine Security Guard cast figure for Gallery 5, comprehensive renovation of an Air War Case, and fabrication of an interactive map table for Gallery 14. The NAICS code is 712110, Museums; PSC is R499, Support–Professional: Other.
