About this opportunity
The United States Marine Corps has issued a Special Notice for exhibit preservation and fabrication services at the National Museum of the United States Marine Corps (NMMC). This is a follow-on contract opportunity focused on maintaining and enhancing the museum's 19 galleries through comprehensive preservation and fabrication work. The notice was posted on April 23, 2026, with a submission deadline of May 14, 2026. The contract is set aside as a Total Small Business opportunity, meaning only small businesses are eligible to compete. The Marine Corps seeks qualified contractors to support the ongoing maintenance and optimization of the museum's exhibits to ensure visitor experience and exhibit longevity.
The scope of work encompasses exhibit conservation, realism optimization, and fabrication services across all gallery elements, including graphics, artifact cases, artifact mounts, interactive kiosks, scenic displays, media systems, paint work, drywall repair, and carpet installation. Contractors may be tasked with creating drawings, display structures, specialty fabrications, themed environments, custom cases for artifacts, mounting systems, and exhibit properties. The work is designed to address damaged exhibits, replace failed components, and improve visitor traffic flow throughout the museum. Since this is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, only certified small business entities are eligible to submit proposals. Interested contractors must submit their proposals by the May 14, 2026 deadline to be considered for this follow-on contracting opportunity.
