The United States Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service seeks integrated multiomics profiling services for 97 cattle samples, with quotations due July 27, 2026. The USDA intends to award on a single-source basis to Azenta US, Inc., though all responsible sources may submit quotations and the Government reserves discretion to compete based on responses received.

Place of performance is Calverton, MD 20705, with library preparation and sequencing to occur at the contractor's facility and delivery to the NEA Animal Genomics and Improvement facility in Beltsville, Maryland. The NAICS code is 541380, Testing Laboratories and Services, with a small business size standard of $19 million. This is an unrestricted acquisition.

Work comprises three sequencing components: 10X Genomics Chromium Multiome profiling of 25 samples targeting approximately 10,000 cells and 50,000 reads per cell to assess chromatin accessibility and gene expression; 10X Genomics Chromium 5' GEX with TCR/BCR enrichment of 12 samples targeting approximately 10,000 cells and 50,000 reads per cell to evaluate immune diversity; and metatranscriptomics sequencing of 60 samples including RNA extraction, dual rRNA depletion, library preparation, and sequencing with approximately 50 million short reads per sample to characterize rumen host-microbiome functional interactions. All deliverables are due by June 30, 2027, with performance commencing July 29, 2026. The Government will evaluate quotations using lowest price technically acceptable criteria. Quotations must remain firm for 90 calendar days and be submitted via email to amber.sampson@usda.gov with F.O.B. destination terms and electronic invoicing through the Invoice Processing Platform.

The United States Department Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS),  intends to award on a single source basis.

Potential sources who believe they can provide the services listed are invited to submit a quotation by the response date listed, in accordance with the instructions provided herein.  All timely responses to this solicitation will be considered, however, the determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government.  

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

Solicitation number 1232SA26Q0558 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for integrated multiomics profiling.

This acquisition  is not set-aside for small business concerns.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 541380.  The small business size standard is $19M  This acquisition is an unrestricted requirement.   All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
